Andhra Pradesh to become India’s first 100% natural farming state

Some time ago, Devinder Sharma circulated a link giving the news that the Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched a plan to make Andhra Pradesh India’s first 100 per cent natural farming state.

This is an unprecedented state commitment to promote the scale-out of climate-resilient, regenerative agriculture in an effort to transform and protect local food systems and long-term well-being of farmers. 6 million farms/farmers will make the transition from conventional synthetic chemical agriculture to Zero-Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) by 2024 – to a 100% natural farming state with 8 million hectares free of chemical contamination.
